EarnBetter offers free career advice, resume creation and job application help to individuals who are laid off or unemployed. It's sponsored by partner banks and lenders, as a service to help their customers get back on their feet during tough times, when they may be missing payments. We worked with EarnBetter to bring their idea to life, designing and developing their MVP onboarding experience, website, and co-branded materials with financial institution partners.

Answer a few questions and get paired with a human coach

We designed and developed a simple onboarding flow that makes it easy for new program participants to tell EarnBetter what kind of career help they need, and get matched with an advisor who has experience in that area. To improve buy-in, participants schedule their initial kickstart call with their coach during the onboarding flow.

Approachable and authentic

EarnBetter’s users sometimes join the program after recently being laid off, or when frustrated with their job search. For these reasons, their consumer facing website needed to be approachable and easy to understand. We used a warm and inviting palette and approachable language to clearly communicate how the program can help them.

Minimum Viable Brand

As an early stage startup, it's important that EarnBetter's brand balances approachability for end users, and professionalism for potential bank partners. We helped them create a minimum viable brand system for use in their MVP product and marketing materials, smartly deploying capital while setting them up to scale in the future.
